will our society ever be safe like it used to be?
i was talking with this sweet couple that raised their family in the 1950's. i was shocked to hear that they kept their front door open, all day and all night, even when they slept.
they let their children play in the back, front, go over their friends houses, all by themselves.
no worries of kidnapping.
i was thinking there is no way people do that now. maybe its different in a tiny little town, but even in those, im not sure how safe they really are either.
at the store, products werent sealed with safety caps like they are now.
you didn't have to worry about trick or treat candy being tainted either.
what changed?
will it ever be like it used to be, or do you think our generation will continue to have to have to watch and look over everything?
what happened is the media, before when someone got kidnapped or killed on the other side of the country, you wouldnt hear about it, and wouldnt worry about you getting kidnapped or killed, but now with the news thats different
so, i dont think things have gotten anymore dangerous, we just worry more about things being dangerous
